I wanted to be the first to let you know I have gotten the approvals from VA Bch for the Soggy Bottom Boys to put on the long-awaited VA Beach Halloween Urban Orienteering Race. Come race for serious finish or bring your family and have some fun poking around the VA Bch Oceanfront. Discounts on local hotels may be available for out-of-towners
Basic Details are:
Date: Sat Oct 30th, 2010
Time: 9AM till 4PM (3-hr course must start by noon) (6-hr course must start by 10AM) Two Courses: - A. 3-hr feet only Rogaine all over VA Bch Oceanfront greater area. B. 6-hr Rogaine (first 2.5-3 hrs on feet like course A and 2nd half of race on Mtn Bikes)
Cost: $30ea/3-hr course, $40ea/4-hr course
Maps: Pre-plotted Metro/Topo Maps provided (non waterproof)
Format: Solo, 2, 3 or 4-person teams or Family Team (Up to 6 members for one
price)
